Overlooking the snow-capped peaks and pristine slopes of Courchevel 1850, Les Grandes Alpes Private Hotel is a luxurious alpine retreat for families, offering the flexibility of a chalet-inspired suite alongside the conveniences of a five-star resort; including ski-in, ski-out access and personal butler service. Ahead of the school holidays, the intimate hotel unveils a package tailored exclusively for families, allowing adventurous parents and kids to make the most of the abundant snow this season.
Guests booking the exclusive four-night package will stay in one of the hotel’s three-bedroom apartments, which includes the services of a personal butler to ensure every request is cared for, no matter how large or small. With a spacious living room, dining room, kitchen and ensuite bathrooms complete with pint-sized bathrobes and slippers, the apartments lend themselves perfectly towards families. Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed with a bottle of Champagne and handcrafted chocolates, whilst a special mocktail will be mixed for little ones at the hotel’s Bellini’s Bar, using their favourite fresh ingredients. After a hearty breakfast, served each day in the privacy of their suite, families will be fuelled and ready to hit to slopes for a fun-filled day.
Situated in the westernmost fold of Three Valleys, the largest ski area in the world, Courchevel offers terrain for every member of the family, with an array of carefully groomed pistes and learning slopes for beginners through to the most proficient skiers. With a convenient slopeside setting, Les Grandes Alpes is a luxurious base from which to enjoy doorstep skiing, with a dedicated concierge on hand to help families make the most of their time on the slopes. Guests are invited to gear up in the state-of-the-art L’Atelier ski room complete with heated boots before accessing the slopes directly from the hotel, preventing little legs from dragging heavy skis too far.
From snowman building to tobogganing, plenty of fun can be found away from the ski slopes too. Intrepid families can enjoy action-packed days exploring this snowy playground, whether it is visiting the ice-skating rink, dog sledding, helicopter rides, snowshoeing and horse-drawn sleigh rides. After an action-packed day, families can retreat to the hotel for children to take part in a hands-on cookery class, whilst parents can use the opportunity to enjoy some renewing downtime in the Spa by Valmont.
Having worked up a healthy appetite, families can opt to dine in the comfort of their apartment, with a team of dedicated cordon bleu chefs on hand to whip up delicious dishes to suit any fussy eaters. Meanwhile, grown-ups can enjoy the occasional dinner à deux by making use of the hotel’s baby-sitter and dining at the hotel’s signature Japanese restaurant, Bizan.
With bespoke luxury living, ski- in, ski-out access, a plethora of exhilarating experiences and bountiful fresh snowfall, families will enjoy endless alpine adventures, both on, and off, the slopes at Les Grandes Alpes this winter season.
Available until 8th April 2018, prices for the Family package start from €15,800 for a four-night stay in a three bedroom suite for up to six people. The package includes a dedicated personal butler throughout stay, daily breakfast, fresh fruit, chocolate and champagne on arrival, children’s bathrobe and slippers, drawing boxes with Grandes Alpes postcards, kids mocktail at Bellini and cookery lesson for children.
