For Fall 2018, innovative and graphic shapes have been conceived to echo the Maison’s strong identity and iconic products. The mix of man-made materials (leather, metal, acetate), the sophisticated use of gradient lenses and the choice of audacious structures make this collection radical, driven by distinct creative standards for the future of LOEWE’s eyewear category.

For Fall 2018, innovative and graphic shapes have been conceived to echo the Maison’s strong identity and iconic products. The mix of man-made materials (leather, metal, acetate), the sophisticated use of gradient lenses and the choice of audacious structures make this collection radical, driven by distinct creative standards for the future of LOEWE’s eyewear category.
 

While futuristic masks allude to its architectural silhouettes, the classic aviator shape is reinterpreted in a more playful way, also linked to rectangular styles made of mirror lenses and padded leather. The result is consistent with both the Maison’s archive and its last collection: unusual and definitely modern.
 

The Puzzle sunglasses is a contemporary interpretation of the timeless aviator style, redesigned with an original triangular colored lens on the top part. Another style is a refined combination of acetate and metal in a futuristic mask shape, with bold temples and openwork lenses. Finally, the collection includes a rounded shape with a stitched leather front, for a strong and unisex look.

Thélios is born from the will of the LVMH group, world leader in luxury, to penetrate the eyewear sector and the expertise of Marcolin Group in the creation of unique frames that can faithfully combine Italian design and craftsmanship with the core values of each House. Synthesis of the names of the Greek gods Theia, goddess of light and sight, and Helios, god of the sun, Thélios covers the entire eyewear production cycle, dealing with the design, production and worldwide distribution of sunglasses and optical frames for some of the Houses within the LVMH portfolio. As an emblem of quality and excellence at every level, in the product as well as in the service, in communication, and in distribution, Thélios offers its own ‘enlightened look’ on the sector.
 

Founded in 1846 in Madrid, LOEWE began as a cooperative of leather artisans and is part of LVMH. In 2014, newly-appointed creative director Jonathan Anderson launched a reconfiguration of the brand, reinterpreting its core values and visual identity for today. His acclaimed ready-to-wear and accessories collections for the house are presented during Men’s and Women’s Fashion Week in Paris. By connecting past and present with cultural awareness and a timely edit of products, Anderson is creating a template for the future. #LOEWE
