With summer just around the corner, the beautiful, landscaped garden at Mandarin Oriental, Paris is now open daily from morning till evening, allowing guests to enjoy alfresco drinks, tasty bites from Bar 8, and a spring menu created by Culinary Director Thierry Marx. Dishes include Crab Cannelloni with Fennel and Pea Soup, with a dessert of Vacherin Sundae (red fruit sorbet, vanilla ice cream and meringue), which can be served at La Table du Jardin – a private dining table, hidden among the greenery, that seats up to eight. This lovely urban oasis is also the go-to spot for chic Parisians gathering for a sophisticated evening drink. Sip a French rosé wine, or a refreshing Virgin Mojito granite, or try an inventive new cocktail, such as the New Bloody Mary, which comes with a surprising liquid nitrogen twist. Guests can extend the evening at the hotel’s Camélia restaurant, which also opens onto the garden, while those who have booked the Royale Orientale Suite or Panoramic Suite can continue the alfresco experience on their very own spacious roof terrace.
